The WordPress Codex is an all-encompassing document defining how WordPress works. It can, at times, be a little too technical, and much of what is contained therein may not be applicable to managing your Cadenza website, but it is the best place to find accurate information explaining how to perform tasks or definitions about links, buttons and functionality in WordPress.

WordPress uses a concept of Roles, designed to give the you the ability to control what users can and cannot do within the site. You can manage the user access to such tasks as writing and editing posts, creating Pages, defining links, creating categories, and managing other users, by assigning a specific role to each of the users.
